Ebraeli Cultural Center

A cultural center of Georgian Jews needed a site that keeps a living calendar and speaks about tradition in a modern voice.

Keep tradition on today's date

The Ebraeli Cultural Center preserves the identity of Georgian Jews, shares knowledge of the Torah and traditions and brings the community together around holidays and events.

The site serves two audiences at once: members who check dates, holidays and Shabbat times every week, and newcomers who want to understand the center and its rabbi.

Idea

  • A calendar on the first screen The nearest holiday, today's date and the Hebrew date sit right next to the name.
  • Big, calm type Large headlines on a light background give the site the feel of a printed journal.
  • A quiet Star of David The symbol lives in the background as a soft watermark, not a logo.
  • One deep red A single warm color marks dates, links and the logo.

A center that lives in the calendar

Members get the dates they need at a glance, and newcomers meet the community, its rabbi and its projects in a clear, respectful way.
